Terms and conditions

Overview

These terms apply to your use of the FenJar website and any services provided by FenJar. By using this website or engaging FenJar for work, you agree to these terms.

Services

FenJar provides software design, development, and related services. The specific scope, cost, timeline, and deliverables for any project are agreed in a separate written proposal or contract before work begins.

Paid concept sessions

The paid concept session is a scoping service. You receive a written concept document regardless of whether you proceed with the build. The concept session fee is non-refundable once the session has been delivered.

Payment

Payment terms (buy, rent, or rent-to-buy) are agreed in the project proposal. Invoices are due within the timeframe specified in the proposal. Late payment may result in work being paused until the account is brought up to date.

Intellectual property

Ownership of the software depends on the payment model:

  • Buy: Ownership transfers on final payment.
  • Rent: FenJar retains ownership. You have a licence to use the software during the rental period.
  • Rent-to-Buy: Ownership transfers on completion of all agreed payments.

Minimum contract terms

Rent and rent-to-buy agreements require a minimum contract term, which is specified in the project proposal. Early termination may incur a fee to cover development investment.

Liability

FenJar will deliver work to a professional standard and fix bugs that arise from the build. FenJar is not liable for losses arising from misuse of the software, changes made by third parties, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Confidentiality

FenJar will treat all information shared during the concept and build process as confidential. We will not share your idea, business details, or project information with third parties without your permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
